Code to Change data challenge (Hackathon weeks)

The Code to Change is aimed at reducing skills gap and associated gender divide. We inspire and teach women essential skills to succeed in the job market. Our core objective is to contribute towards the achievement of gender equality (UN Sustainable Development Goal 5) and economic empowerment of women via digital inclusion.

Challenge :

Identify the skills that are needed by women in various regions [ limit scope to countries/ cities] and build an interactive tool that can give insights about various skills based on selected country.

We really want to get some numbers visible, but it seems to be really hard. Maybe you have an idea if answering those questions with a data challenge is possible? It is all about MRA (Metropolitan region of Amsterdam).

1.How many female founded startups are active in 2021/2020/2019/2018/2017/2016?
2.How many female founded startup did start in 2021/2020/2019/2018/2017/2016? 3.Female-led startups vs Male-led startups: bankruptcies, got support from government, re- started

4.How many women are working in tech jobs (vs. men %) 2021/2020/2019/2018/2017/2016 5.What is the percentage of women in tech-companies? 2021/2020/2019/2018/2017/2016 6.How much (and which %) is invested in female led start ups ?
7.How many (and which %) female investors are active in MRA?

Expected outcome:

Build an interactive dashboard that gives an overview of above data as insights.

Digital Starling is a for-profit, for-purpose company that brings together female-led founder teams and freelancers with digital skills from under-represented communities and provide AI enabled platform to upskill them.


There are many algorithms in NLP in that can match freelancers with entrepreneurs based on requirement and digital starling has built one such model based on cosine similarity with accuracy of 76%.

Improve the model or build a new model that can take others factors into consideration and build an accurate tool that meets the above need.

Robokalam is an EdTech firm based in India that provides STEAM based education solutions to schools and graduate colleges along with training and 21st century labs in robotics, IoT, AI and ML through Kalwings. The vision of the company is to make coming generation prepared for future of work.

Its not much pleasure to spend an hour or two everyday reading a book and students also face problem in revising contents before the exam as it needs for them to summarise huge texts.

Expected outcome:

Build an AI based application that could take input in any document or text format and convert into the way that helps student to have better learning experience.

IoT Users club data challenge (Hackathon weeks)

Create a database for precautions to be taken by different age group people based on forecasted weather conditions that can be sent as notifications to registered users based on region. Use weather data and medical data from open source.
